Love it!

Must have apps for studying Spanish!

i

great!

Helps me a lot

Without it I wouldnt understand a word my friend is telling me...lol

Kill me

Added fiduciaries Df

Steers me from what I sought

This app got worse. I wanted to look up a word and it steered me to a vocabulary lesson

So helpful

Love having this at the tip of my fingers. Better than Google Translate for sure.

So slow

Unbearable

Crashes regularly

Good when it works

Past format was better

When you presented a quiz on previously learned words, it was much more of a test and review of those words. I miss that.

Completeness

SpanishDictionary.com has assembled the concepts in this language program into a very logical framework so that the user/learner can select particular areas where more depth of content is needed or wanted.

Great app with some disappointments!

Overall, this is a great app for learning Spanish. Everything I worked with on the app was amazing, and it really helped improve my Spanish skills. However, I was disappointed when I paid $60 for the yearly subscription, expecting access to all the features. Unfortunately, two functions were not available. I reached out to customer support, but they told me since I subscribed through Apple, they couldn’t assist me. Sadly, Apple couldn’t help or refund my money either. That experience discouraged me, and I didn’t continue using the app. While this app has a lot to offer, there are plenty of other great resources for Spanish learners. For example, Dreaming Spanish on YouTube is fantastic—I’d give it a 10/10! If you’re a beginner, I also highly recommend The Language Tutor by Dr. Danny Evans. Both are excellent tools to keep learning and stay motivated.

Dark Theme Mode

Please add dark mode for our eyes.My eyes burn just by looking at this app.More companies are adding this feature to their apps anyways

Intrusive Ads

Ads are extremely loud and intrusive. Make sure your volume is on 0 before opening the app! I just use the website now.

Amazing

It’s truly amazing. No complaints.

Best English/Spanish app

I use this app every day. It gives all of the conjugations of verbs and multiple definitions when translating from English to Spanish. This app has helped me communicate much more effectively.

Great application

Awesome!

Very helpful.

Everything I’m looking for in a language learning app

I love this app. I’m able to focus my study on key vocabulary and on learning conjugations. Very excited to make this a regular part of my Spanish study.

Should autoclear last result when looking up a word

When using this to translate books it has taken tons of my time to clear the last result with the tiny x. I’ve been using SpanishDict for over ten years and it’s killing me man. Double ads at the top, bottom and their ad to pay for premium popping up randomly makes this a pretty hard app to stay focused on learning with.

Conjugation

I used to be able to get to a quick conjugation of a verb. That’s what I need for my immediate conversations. Now it’s not so simple.

The best language dictionary 💯

The best Spanish language learning dictionary. If Other languages had a learning dictionary this good. But they should!

It keeps restarting

I've been using the app for the past year and it's mostly great. There are just some small bugs that constantly annoy me. 1. Switching apps for 30 seconds makes it restart and forget my progress. I like to switch apps to translate individual words, or to write down a translation in my notes. I have to keep switching back here every 30 seconds or it'll completely forget my progress. I even upgraded to the latest iPhone thinking it was a RAM issue, but that didn't help. 2. The vocabulary section is very buggy when switching apps. When you switch back to this app, the keyboard comes on top of the word. You can't see what you're typing, and there's also no way to hide the keyboard. I even upgraded to the latest iPhone thinking my screen was too small, but that didn't help. Overall good app but these two issues annoy me every time I use it.

All the tools you need

I believe I found SpanishDictionary.com too late. I think I would have a better grasp of the language and rules of grammar. It’s a great app for even the most casual user, and there are a lot of great tools available with the free version. I do wish it didn’t make you start from the beginning if you miss a day. You could practice 673 straight days and the app is like “Missed 674? Too bad.”. I don’t love that. Otherwise a good app. I recommend it.

Tasks

It helps a lot translating Spanish to English, my first language it’s Spanish.

Best Spanish learning app for sure

If you want to get results fast this app is for you, the word back expanded my vocabulary (with words Latinos actually use) quickly and helped me remember it and how to use the words correctly. Pair this with watching vlogs in Spanish and voicerooms from HelloTalk and you’ll be conversationally fluent in a year.

Absolutely the best!

Includes grammar and spelling, listening and understanding, speaking…. It has word lists for specific topics and also allows you to assemble your own. AND I’M HAVING FUN USING IT! It covers the basics while remaining challenging, whatever your proficiency.

Fenomenal

Muy útil

It’s the Best

This is the best and most comprehensive app I know of. I use it often. I love it.

Best App to Learn Spanish BY FAR

This is the best app for learning Spanish. I find myself on this app so much and it seems to be just as addictive as social media. The vocabulary function is phenomenal at teaching you vocabulary and making you memorize it. Here’s what I wish it did: I wish you could scroll on the leader board instead of just seeing a section of where you’re at. I also want to be able to friend people and see their usernames on the leaderboard. But otherwise, this app is wonderful.

Excellent Resource

Excellent for ease of use. Very comprehensive and informative treatment of words and grammar.

Amazing. 10/10

It’s really good. I’ve only been studying with it for a week and I have learned more than I have with Duolingo in 3 months.

Helpful!

So much more than just a translator—the conjugation drills can be tailored to your specific needs, and they helped me learn multiple verb tenses SO much faster and easier than just trying to memorize them. Highly recommend.

The cornerstone of my Spanish studies. By far the most complete app for studying Spanish.

The best app for studying Spanish or English, period. How is this so? Great interface with countless modules for studying and quizzing. Native pronunciation of words and sentences at the tap of a finger. Different testing methods including speaking, video, and multiple choice. Huge grammar section. Countless videos and pictures. All with native speakers. This app is more intutive, and comprehensive than Duolingo, or Rosetta. ¡En pocas palabras, Spanish Dictionary es la mejor aplicación! It is the cornerstone of my studies. Absolutely essential!

The only dictionary you will need

Perfect combination of general phrases and often is able to capture local colloquialisms as well. I’ve used this app for 5 years and it’s the best!

Great but laggy

This is my number one tool for looking up Spanish words and translations. I love how it shows all the conjugations and gives tons of examples for reference and context. Really fantastic. My only complaint, and why I only have it 4 stars, is that the app becomes really laggy and slow if you keep it open too long or do too many searches. I often have to close and restart the app. I have the latest hardware so it shouldn’t be this laggy. Seems like there’s some memory leakage. Otherwise, fantastic tool!

Good Product, Poor Implementation

The dictionary itself is excellent: informative, easy to search and understand. The app on the other hand is severely hampered by something on the backend that causes the whole thing to grind to a halt whenever a new set of ads is being loaded in. I hope the developer can fix whatever is causing these slowdowns; I don’t have this issue in any other ad-supported apps I use. If they do, this will be a five-star review.

Needs more Mexican-American, Mexican, Latin American, and Iberian Spanish slang entries.

Good but needs more “Chicanismos”, “Mexican-American Slang”, and “Spanglish” entries for those of us born, raised, or educated here in the United States of North America. ALSO, THE THREE ALTERNATIVE TRANSLATIONS PROVIDED SHOULD BE BETTER FILTERED TO GIVE MORE ACCURATE ALTERNATIVE MEANINGS TO THE WORDS REQUESTED TO BE TRANSLATED.

Too many interruptions.

While I am trying to read the various definitions to a word I have looked up, I repeatedly get a pop up that covers almost the whole screen. I have to slide the definition page over to close the pop up in order to continue. It has been happening for a long time now and occurs 99% of the time when I use the dictionary on my laptop. If that did not occur, I would give the dictionary 5 stars.

Muy intressante

One of the best Spanish resources

This is one of my favorite apps for practicing Spanish. It has so many different activities so you never get bored. One of the best things about this app is being able to look up a word and seeing examples of it being used and different Spanish words used in different regions. A few suggestions: during the lessons, sometimes it’s confusing when you are supposed to be addressing someone formally vs informally, or when you are addressing a group because there’s no indication but you have to use what it wants, it always just shows one random person, even if it wants me to talk about “you guys” or about “them”. It would be nice to show more context in the images or something to make it more clear. Another thing, in the vocab quizzes, it would be great to be able to filter by region and / or show the region of the word it’s asking for, because if it asks me for “car” there’s several words for car based on region but it’s only looking for one with no indication of which. I also want to make sure I use the appropriate vocab when I travel depending on where I go.

best site for learning

I’ve tried many different websites and apps to study spanish and this is superior to all of them.

Have used this app for years

For years I have been using this app in conjunction with a variety sources of Spanish reading material. I continue to encounter new words in the reading material and I use this app to look for definitions, conjugations and usage in sentences.

Super help

In a jam the dictionary is great

Fantastic vocabulary building

The vocabulary function is fantastic. A great means to learn new useful words daily

Its a great app but only want one thing

Please put a Night Mode or Dark Mode feature! Its a fantastic app to learn español but just wish it was darker for less strain on my eyes

Real Brain Stretcher

One enjoys the many facets this app and its website provides to keep learners engaged. While the free version makes you curious if not to have cravings for the Premium version, you won’t receive constant nags to go there. What’s holding you back from picking up vocab & phrases of any number of useful secondary languages.

The Best

Great app! Love it!
